Additive Manufacturing (AM) facilitates product development due to the various native advantages of AM when compared traditional manufacturing processes. Efficiency, customisation, innovation, and ease modifications are a few AM. This process can therefore be applied fabricate customisable devices, such as bespoke interactive devices for rehabilitation purposes. In this context, two-day workshop titled Design Manufacturing: Future Interactive Devices (DEFINED) was held discuss design issues encountered in an innovative controller supporting platform, Virtual Reality (VR)-based environment, intended people with limited dexterity their hands. The sessions were transcribed, thematic analysis carried out identify main topics discussed. themes Manufacturing, Generative Algorithms, User-Centred Design, Measurement Data Acquisition, Reality, Augmented Haptics. These then discussed relation available literature. conclusion that coherent tools is needed by designers take considerations throughout process, since they lack knowledge required develop devices.
